Aim
At Toca we intend to provide a mentoring programme commencing early in 2007.
The aim of this programme is for the skills and experiences of one generation of successful people from diverse disciplines to be passed to the next.
We do this by introducing clients with suitable mentors and organising events and discussion forums. Typically, these mentors are high achievers in business. We hope to have mentors from other disciplines including sport, journalism and politics available by mid 2007.
Background
These mentors have excellent experience to share. They have diverse skill sets and possess many years working at high levels in business. For those who aspire to leadership and business success it is important to learn from others who have been through similar experiences.
It is intended that the relationship between mentor and those they are mentoring is an enduring and lasting one. This is not a time limited professional course where a skill set is learned and then taken to the workplace. This can be an open-ended professional and personal relationship where experience and skills from one generation are passed to another. In time, it is hoped that those who have been mentored can become mentors.
There is an initial set-up cost, that is variable, but no additional cost after that. There may be some on-going events that need funding but these will be managed on an event by event basis and we would not expect the cost to be significant.
