Aim
At Toca we provide an outsourced training function for client organisations.
The aim of this function is to provide efficient, comprehensive and expert training to new or existing employees of client organisations. We want students to finish such a course equipped with the knowledge and confidence they need to manage any situation in their work lives that draws on a need for this knowledge.
Who will this training benefit?
Those who will best benefit from outsourcing their training requirements will be organisations which do not have the scale, resources, in-house expertise, and/or time needed to build a dedicated training function.
Background
Outsourcing across a range of different operational activities is now a characteristic of modern business life. This thinking has also made its way into the public sector and other non-commercial organisations. The reasons an organisation may want to outsource all or a part of its training function include the following:
-
Small organisations do not have the need or resources to fund a dedicated training function;
-
Organisations will not be up to date with new technologies and developments if it is not part of their core activity;
-
Specialist training is easier and more cost effective to outsource.
At Toca we have a number of partnerships with other training providers whose specialist areas are different to our own. For organisations whose training needs are not among our core areas, we can advise and manage the provision of training through one of our partners.
Course outline
Outsourced training generally fall into one of the following categories:
-
Induction courses - courses that give new employees an introduction to the objectives, background, ethos and processes of their new employer;
-
Systems training – all organisations have systems and processes across a range of operational activity, for example - IT, accounting, procurement, sales and marketing etc. It is usually more economic to train new or skill up existing employees on these systems using an outsourced training provider.
In providing outsourced training courses we adopt the following approach:
-
We discuss with and obtain from the client organisation a specificationof the training that is required;
-
We complete an outline of the proposed course programme and we provide this outline, in addition to costings and a timeframe for delivery, for consideration and review;
-
Once above agreed we then complete a detailed course programme and deliver the training.
