Aim
At Toca we provide a range of professional training courses for businesses and organisations.
We want students to finish these courses equipped with the knowledge and confidence they need to manage any situation in their work or home lives that draws on a need for this knowledge. They can take these skills and this confidence back to their workplaces and contribute more productively to their organisation.
Who will these courses benefit?
The bulk of our training courses are finance orientated though we are looking to widen our service offering.
Those professionals who will best benefit from our courses will be
- Finance professionals who want to update and enhance their skills
- Professionals who do not have a finance background but who have the need for some financial skill and knowledge due to a broadened job description or promotion;
- Those in third level education who have accountancy and finance modules as part of their degrees;
- Adult learners studying for self-improvement purposes.
Nobody should be put off from participating on one of our courses due to a lack of confidence. It is assumed, and it is helpful, that students have some knowledge of the subject matter of the training courses they attend but it is not necessary and we ensure that all our students benefit from participation.

Background
Business in the UK has increasingly shifted from manufacturing to services industry which in turn means less reliance on machinery and more reliance on people. Globalisation is stripping away barriers to the movement of people, capital and trade. This, in turn, means that modern British business is competing and engaging with overseas businesses to a greater extent than at anytime in the past and needs adequately skilled employees to do this. Employees’ expectations have also increased and these expectations need to be matched by ensuring they have regular access to education and training.

At Toca we provide professional training courses that present up-to-date material in an interesting, interactive and supportive way. It is important that our students involve themselves in the class, ask questions, suggest solutions and work together. As the courses are generally one or two days in duration, we have limited time to impart a lot of knowledge. Most of our courses have an end of course exam which students are obliged to pass in order to receive certification. We give every support to our students in order for them to achieve this and do not anticipate students completing a course without certification.
All our trainers have worked extensively in industry, and are university qualified specialists. All have extensive experience training other professionals.
